This statement explains how Blagger uses cookies when you visit or use the application.
Blagger uses only cookies that are necessary to provide and secure the service. It does not use advertising, analytics or behavioural-tracking cookies.

What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser and sent back to the application with later requests.
They allow an application to recognise a browser, maintain a signed-in session and protect actions such as submitting a form.
Cookies used by Blagger
Authentication session cookie
Blagger uses an authentication cookie after you sign in or create an account.
It contains a randomly generated session token that identifies your signed-in session. It does not contain your username, password, activities or notes.
Blagger stores only a secure hash of the session token in its database.
The cookie is used to:
- recognise your signed-in session;
- allow access to your own activities and periods;
- prevent another user from accessing your account through the same browser_usr session.
The session expires after the configured session lifetime. Signing out invalidates the session so that it can no longer be used.
CSRF security cookie
Blagger uses a security cookie to help protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery, sometimes abbreviated to CSRF.
The cookie works with a corresponding value included in protected forms. Blagger checks that the values match before accepting actions that change information, including signing out.
This cookie is used only for security. It expires at the end of its configured lifetime or when it is replaced.
Essential cookies
Both cookies are strictly necessary for Blagger's authentication and security features.
Blagger does not ask for consent before setting strictly necessary cookies. Without them, signing in and securely using the application would not work.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies using your browser settings.
If you block or delete Blagger's cookies:
- you may be signed out;
- forms may no longer submit successfully;
- you may be unable to sign in or use authenticated features.
Signing in again may cause new essential cookies to be created.
Other browser storage
Blagger does not currently use browser storage for advertising or behavioural tracking.
If this changes, this statement will be updated before the new storage is used.
